Losness Art in Wyland Gallery.

I was asked to make a painting for the poster of the Reef Hawaiian Pro. So I made my best impression of Haleiwa the break where the surf competition would be held. The Title of the painting "Red Buoy" comes from the famous red buoy just outside the line up. Surfers use the buoy as an indicator to when the next set of large waves will soon approach. If the buoy dips down below sea level it means a large swell has just passed and on its way. I also included the state fish of hawaii, an angel fish, some tiki's and a sea turtle. On any given day if you go down to Haleiwa you will see a sea turtle swimming in the shore break. The Wyland Gallery in Haleiwa town invited the three poster artist's of the triple crown of surfing to have an artshow on Nov.20th. I was honored to display some of my original paintings at the show. Thanks to everyone at the Wyland Gallery for having me. Hope to see you all again soon.
